Being a frequent traveller is no fun but its hard to avoid since its mostly work related. Trips with in the country is usual as my business demands it but trips outside the country is what hurts the most. In an uncertain times, small businesses like us not only suffer from cash flow but future business prospects as well. With inflation hitting 20 years high & recession around the corner, it is very hard to acquire new business but we need to keep exploring because we never know which lead can turn into gold and provide a life line for next 6 months. Travelling not only drain physically but mentally also, business trips are usually 24 to 36 hours long which makes it hectic & tiring but since its a routine, one miss out on daily home activities. Groceries buying can be done online but the real pain was utility bill payments, school fees of kids and of course internet bill.

You may disagree with its usage but internet these days is a necessity especially for someone travelling and is far away from family. I had to pay internet & other utility bills going into the banks branch but lately our ISP & bills have launched a digital bill payment service called kuickpay. The good thing about this service is it is connected to all the commercial and islamic banks of Pakistan. I just have to enter my kuickpay id printed on the bill. It shows the bill on the screen, i just had to press ‘pay’ button and its done. What is more exciting is the all the paid bills are available on kuickpay consumer portal which is accessible 24×7 and free of cost. It saves not only time but paperwork as well. Now i wait for the monthly bill payments cycle and check my sms/email inboxes for digital bills which can be paid through finger tips. I wish kuickpay launches an app to consolidate all my bills under 1 umbrella from where i can keep track of my past bills & financial position at the same time.
